The flange and caps are now Newton SPRL.
I don’t know anything about the aerosport caps but the first thing I’d check is the compatibility with the SPRL flange.
Newton themselves make an Aluminum lockable SPRL cap. I have these and they are very nice.

I understand that my RV-10 wing kit will now come with plastic fuel caps. I'd like to get something that is metal and I am used to this style below (which I believe is an Usher Flush Fuel Cap). Can anybody share a review of the Aerosport Fuel Caps and how they compare to other options?
As mentioned, Newton sells the SPRL locking caps which work well, and I use for when I travel and need to leave the airframe out on an open ramp.

Aerosport also makes a very nice cap, and they will engrave them. (Keep your options open for fuel requirements) They don't polish them but that is not difficult. Here are the ones from my 14 and 10. These center tabs were produced on my mill, but I understand they produce these now also.

I’d like to replace the stock caps on my 7 as well. Do you have to buy new internal parts (flange) or do some of these caps just directly replace factory kit caps?

Depends on if your stock caps and flange are Newton or Usher. Vans changed to the Newton SPRL caps about 7 to 8 years ago.

The newer caps (even the plastic ones) are better than these older ones. Plus there are aluminum versions that fit the newer SPRL hole.
