Anyone else get the email from Van's early this AM linking to the above change notice?

CN-00168 - Van's Aircraft Total Performance RV Kit Planes

Change Notice 00168 applies to the RV-15 Empennage/Tail Kit, and includes updates to the KAI as follows: Section 6 (now Rev 3) Section 7 (Rev 1) Section 7_A1 (new section, Rev 0) Section 8 (new section, Rev 0) Section 9 (new section, Rev 0) Please see the KAI downloads page on the Van’s Aircraft...

A little confusing to me:
- many of the listed updates are KAI sections that shipped with my kit and are dated April or May
- for section 6 (VS), the current version is listed as R3 in the CN, but R2 in the KAI download section. Both have the same date (4/23/2026). There is a KAI document on the CN page, but I have not had a chance to compare it to the R2 on the KAI download page.

I've been in correspondence with someone at Van's and they (now?) know about the problem. Apparently a glitch in the loading of the new Sections to the store. Hang tight for a couple of hours while the web folks get into work and get it fixed.
 
Louise is right. We had technicians working on our fiber yesterday, which caused a glitch in the sync to the cloud server housing the KAIs. We've just uploaded the missing revisions, and the sync should take place within a few minutes. As for a couple of the items listed as new but weren't, that was an artifact of us catching up on some earlier postings within the internal Change Notice documents.

For now, all the published sections with updates have been pushed to the server that drives the data in the webstore.

@Van's Aircraft how do we track changes between revisions? Is there a difference between Section 6 R2 and R3 - same date listed? My VS is complete, built on the R2 version. I don't see any notes about changes between versions; on my -8 plans, there are notes that track changes between revisions.

Appreciate the quick response.

I share your frustration. I just went through Section 6 revision 2 versus 3 and I didn't note any differences except the revision number at the bottom right had been changed. Agreed, same date and everything else. I hope someone figures it out soon.
 
Okay, I think I found the change in Section 7. On page 7-12 and beyond, the rudder skin in Version 0 doesn't show the last row of holes (at the bottom of the rudder). These holes will be added by KAI Section 7A. Thankfully, I won't have to tear apart the completed rudder!
