Default South georgia, north florida overnight stop tips?

Heading to the bahamas from Canada for 7th trip. In ft pierce sunday pm. Looking for stop for saturday night that is decent little airport, decent meal and hotel not too far from airport so uber isnt crazy. Have always found great fun places. Just a reasonable price is fine, not looking for a deal.

This year...holly cow...every hotel is $300 I know tourism has rebounded but that is well over double what a usual sleep at a hilton garden inn costs us.

Anyone have any tips on a good, simple easy stop with a friendly airport?

Go to KBHC in Baxely GA. They have a two bedroom FBO that is free to stay in. You won't be disappointed. Courtesy car also.

Appreciate the tips on baxley. Have emailed them to see if possible, that would be great and simple. Love small towns and GA friendly airports.

KSSI is another excellent layover. Saint Simon Island is a cool little coastal community with a nice little downtown. Pull the plane right up to the hotel and grab some bikes to town.

One of my favorites.

Been into saint simon a few times. A quick look is again....$300 to sleep. Since its not a destination, just a stop on the way to the islands we have reached out and booked baxley airport. Van the manager could not be nicer, simple and easy.

Appreciate the tips. Cheers.

Baxley is one of truly great GA institutions. The place is amazing. And the gas is cheap!!!

You can always go inland Florida like KOBE, KIMM, etc. KIMM has the Seminole Casino Hotel. They had a shuttle that will pick you up. Most hotels there can be had fro 130 or less. Just need to confirm if Uber or other ground transportation is available.
