Visiting Austin and would like to know what airport is most convient to fly into without having to pay for the high prices at the Austin airport.
Plan on renting a car or uber. Thanks

I spent a few nights KGTU October 2016, and it was definitely GA friendly.

It's a bit of a hike to downtown Austin, but the Avgas price is less than KEDC. Uber was reasonable to the north side of Austin area, ~$25.

From the KGTU website - "A courtesy car available on a first-come, first-served basis. The tie-down fee structure has not changed: $5 per night with first night free and the second night free with a fuel purchase."

GTU is great, not sure on the car rental bit as I either ubered or someone would pick me up.

FYI. The courtesy car is only for use within the Georgetown city limits. Georgetown Jet Center (Cutter Aviation) can help with arranging a rental car.
