Forgot to mention, both wings have flop tubes installed. Tanks were sealed up a few months ago and pressure tested, no leaks.

Engine mount just back from the powder coater. Gorgeous Obsidian Black. Check out the picture.

Does this mount incorporate the "newer" geometry that moves the wheels 2" forward from original HRII?
Honestly, I was not aware there was a change to the engine mounts but I received this from Harmon only a few months ago so it is pretty new, if that helps. Do you know when the change was made?

That realignment of the main gear was done early on (25+ years ago) to help the ground handling balance - and anything that comes out of John's shop now will reflect that change. So, yes, that mount will be the "new" version. My Rocket is S/N 002 - and I have the new mount as part of my original build (22+ years in the air so far).

Thanks. I did not realize the change was so dated.

I'm interested and love the Harmon. What parts do I need to finish other than Engine/Avionics?
Other than the hardware and what ever you want to customize it with, it needs the canopy and leg fairings. The canopy frame and longerons come with the kit. I upgraded the longerons from AA 3/4 x 3/4 to 1 x 1.

My Recollection from building my Harmon Rocket:
Additional Items:
-Propeller*
-Wheels and Brakes
-Engine isolators
-Intake elbow and induction bits from Harmon
-Ignition systems (your choice)
-Gear leg and wheel pant fairings*
-Canopy (in my case a slider with a speed-slope windshield)*
-Seat cushions
-Seat belts
-main electrical (battery, contactors, wire (welding cable))
-Aluminum stock (0.032 and 0.040 sheet)
-Bending Brake (for interior structure mostly)
-Metal shrinker to fit canopy skirts and boot cowls.
-Lots of hardware to order
-Many extra tools
-5 yrs of dedicated time

*Items I bought directly from Mark Frederick, now likely available from FlyBoy

Finally, the F1 Rocket Manuals are available and really help for the Harmon build.

This is not exhaustive. You will be spending a lot of time and money building what amounts to a customized aircraft. A fantastic experience, if you have the motivation and time. You may also want to find a local machine shop for match drilling the expensive stuff (titanium gear legs for example).

Good list Vern, thanks. Some of the items you listed are included with the kit I'm selling but all will be needed. Included items from your list are:
  • Wheels & Brakes
  • Wheel Pants
  • All sheet aluminum necessary to build the fuselage
  • I believe the legs have already been match drilled to the engine mount
