That would be very difficult. The fuselage forward of the wing is totally different. The 8A lacks the "gear towers" where the landing gear attach, instead having weldments bolted to the wing spar. Would probably be easier just to build a new fuselage.

If it's anything like a 7, you'll need a different engine mount, you'll need to install a tailwheel weldment, reroute the brakes and a few msc odds and ends.
The gear is nothing like the -7. It would be easier if it were.. the -8 main gear doesn’t mount to the engine mount at all.
