Configuring a VFR panel. Want to install the Garmin G3X 10" screen and have an autopilot. Can I activate and control the autopilot servos with the G3X screen alone, or do I need to install either the GMC 507 or 307 autopilot from Garmin with the G3X?

You can but, IMHO it’s money well spent, and in airplane dollars, not expensive. Consider the LVL button when making your decision.

Screen is enough to fully control the GSA 28 servos.

That’s how we run the autopilot on our RV-3, which simply has no room for the A/P control panel. It’s a little more fiddling when doign it on the Touchscreen, but you can do everything, and it works fine.
