Looking good! FYI, since you haven't drilled for your canopy latch rods yet, you have the ability to set up the geometry to have a partial open position with a second set of holes to engage. One day I'm going to do that to mine and not require a special mechanism.

Exactly !
Two more photographs added to my original post: the aft aspect of the canopy. It works very well without a bunch of extra stuff stuck on. Holds the canopy down tight, even with full-throttle run-up. Have never had problems with it. NO signs of fatigue after 1200+ hours.
