My home drome has just announced a day long concert to benefit local breast cancer charities. As my wife is a three time survivor and the airport will not be closed for the event, I see a need for some pink smoke.

I would prefer to avoid pyrotechnics, does anyone know how I can produce pink smoke from a standard smoke system?

I might be wrong, but I don't believe you can get colored smoke out of a convention piston engine smoke system.

The ones that I've seen have injectors for the colored oil that are quite a bit further downstream that for the white smoke.

For the 49 ship formation we did for breast cancer awareness we used canisters on the wingtips. They were the size of a soda can and burned for 2 minutes or so. We used the nav lights to light them off.

That is the only way we have done color smoke. Each one of those canisters is $50.
