Trying to gather info on where are good places to fly to along the Louisiana coast to experience the area and food. Been to New Orleans many times so looking south and west of there. Have several RVs from NC/SC making the trip. Ideas or suggestions?

A long time ago, when we lived on the south side of Houston, our airpark neighborhood would fly out to Welsh (LA) for lunch - they had a great little Cajun restaurant within walking distance of the runway. That was a dozen years ago however - I’d check before dropping in! (But was excellent at the time!)

I have flown into Houma for fishing trips. You can get a crew car and go eat. There are chains restaurants and local dives all over the place. Spent a little time in Thibodaux as well. Same thing as Houma. You can spot the good local restaurants from the road.

Lafayette has some of the best food you’ll ever find, but expensive avgas. KOPL has several RV's and some great folks. Millionaire, at KCWF, usually has good gas prices and an incredible lunch deal when you fill up. As pretty much everywhere, you’ll find great folks at the smaller airports. There’s great food all over Louisiana, but you might need to ask where to find it. Have fun guys!

Fairhope CQF, Destin DTS, Orange Beach JKA

Try to catch Fairhope when the polo matches are going on.

Hey Len try Beau Bridge, great authentic Cajun food and music. Pre Jeans on the Evangeline Parkway in Layfayette. I'm an Honorary Cajun so I know these things...It's a shame Mulottes closed down on the Bayou, they had the best crawfish ettufe'

I second Breaux Bridge. You'll find down-home Cajun restaurants where the owner will come and sit down at your table to discuss what you might want to order, and rooms right on Bayou Teche.
