After reading the lost comm thread in the Close Calls section - I have a question.
I have a Icom AC6. I lost my comm a few weeks ago (it did not have the range suddenly - I found a broken inner wire on the UG58 coax - worked fine at 5 miles - now I am putting in UG400 with stranded wires core)
When I switched to the AC6 back up - the background noise made it very hard for the tower to hear me. I have the headset adapter but this made TX worse. Has anyone used the AC6 in an RV and what Microphone did you use?
