My all time favorite overnight stop. Newer crew car to use overnight; all the snacks you can eat for free plus a great hotel (Threefoot) nearby and reasonable fuel prices.

Couple of nights ago, Scott Stephens, while working the ramp, took the attached picture of my plane. He has been published in a few aviation magazines. Thank you Scott.

Lots of great memories at KMEI during Advanced Flight Training. We’d bring the T-45’s down from NMM, grab a hot dog and some popcorn, a food voucher, and go up for another hour of learning how to be a good jet pilot. I miss it…

Also spent a fair amount of time in the rental 152 exploring the Southeast!

Yep, KMEI is a great place to stop

Daytime for fuel and snacks, grab a crew car if you want something substantial or overnight if necessary.

They stay open later than a lot of FBO’s so that makes them even better as an unplanned alternative stopping point.
