Last year at OSH I engaged FDM to make a model of my Harmon Rocket, so when it was sold (since done) I would have something tangible to remember it by - boy, I'm sure glad I did. They knocked it right out of the park! It wasn't cheap nor fast - but I truly think I got what I paid for.
They were extremely easy to deal with, and no detail was too small - re/the 1/8" gold pinstripe on the full size version and the "micro" stripe on the model - exactly right!
If you are considering of doing such a thing I cannot say enough good things about the experience. Prior to delivery they ask me to "proof" the model for accuracy, and I found a slight misalignment of the paint scheme at the leading edge of the wing tips - no problem. About two weeks later, another "proof" check and all good. When I got the model I looked very closely at that area and could not tell where the adjustment was made.
If you elect to use them to "memorialize" your project, you won't be disappointed ...
