Match Hole drilled - final size?

Does anyone know if there is any update to the RV-9a to make the holes final size similar to the -14 and the -10?

Would love it if the -9 kit (and plans) were "modernized" in the way that -12, -14, are, and Van's updated the -10.

As a potential alternative, the -12 is appealing being ~1000-1200 hours build, vs. the -9 which seems more typically 2k hours to build for a first time builder. It would take a lot of flight time, back of the napkin 3200 hours of flying (not including fuel tank size in calcs), to make up for the 800 hours of add'l build time. Assuming your goal is to fly and get places of course.
