First solo following checkout
Got checked out following purchase, ferry flight and training in my new to me RV-8A. A blast to fly! Thanks to a great CFI who went above and beyond with my checkout.

I don’t have an exact answer yet
After getting my checkout, the airplane remained in Michigan for an annual and IFR check. One of the items to be accomplished is a determining an accurate empty weight and verifying the W&B numbers. I should have a pretty good idea following that.

What a great-looking 8A. Obviously I'm partial to 9s, but I've long thought that the 8 was the winner in the looks department.
