Aero Enhancement Ultra Vision UV250-1

My RV-8 has this installed. I can find no specs or manual for this on the internet. There is a label on my panel that states: "Maximum backup battery lamp operation time is 4 hours". As it states "backup battery", I am guessing there may be a battery located somewhere behind the panel, maybe in the control box. Of course this company is no longer around, so I am hoping someone here might be able to help.

Help needed

Silence? VAF has always come through.

Does anyone know of this product? Have a manual or installation manual?

How about a contact or owner?

Thanks.

Patent yields a little more info

The patent indicates your black box is actually an inverter for driving an electroluminescent lamp and probably has a dimmer knob somewhere. Pretty cool.

These guys may have a manual:

You could put a 9V battery in the holder and see if there's any capacity left in the old standby battery. If not, try to find the standby battery so you can replace it.

Or just install something new, like a new standby supply and an LED light strip. Or a flashlight. :)

I was hoping to find out enough to do more than replace the 9v battery, which didn't bring it back to life. It has worked since I owned the airplane and is about the only item on the plane without instructions. VAF always seems to come through with difficult questions.

Some of us probably stopped reading after "Aero Enhancement."
