Decent Lycoming Overhaul Video

For those of us/you who didn't build your airplane and you're learning as you go, I found this video helpful as a reference in conjunction with the engine manuals.

Not everything applies to every motor (this one is FI and mine is carbed, for example) but there is some great advice and reference shots in this that de-mystify a few things about the motor and may be helpful. I found it so.

Wasn’t there a post here some time ago from Mahlon on this?

Yeah I found that video a while back. It was a big help in mentally preparing for building my engine (I was assisted by an A&P friend with lots of Lycoming overhaul experience) even though mine is parallel valve. Probably a good video for anyone flying behind a Lycoming, whether they're building/overhauling or not.

Enjoyed It

I enjoyed watching it from the hangar this morning while warming the innards and oil. Thanks for sharing Bill.
