Unstable Voltage

I jumped into another discussion with a question about my unstable voltage but can't seem to find that thread.

B&C Alternator and Volt Reg, Earth-X battery. Voltage was stable for 150 hrs then began to drift randomly upwards.

Wiring was sound, nothing loose. Culprit was a 'glass fuse' The simple inline fusible link fuzes inside a little glass tube. Somehow the little fuse could generate .5-2 Ohms by the slightest change in external pressure or how I was holding it. Laid on the table it was fine, slightest extra pressure and small resistance formed.

One would think the fuze was either working or not working.

Thank you to the contributor that advised looking in this area.

Thanks for closing this out.

Thanks for closing this out. Was the fuse in the sense line?

Glass fuses should definitely be avoided in aircraft, lots of problems with them over the years.
