Installing landing light HELP

Is there an easy way to install the landing light mounting bolts with the wing skin is closed up? Surely Vans did not mean for me to cut an access panel in the lower skin as I am so tempted to do. Thanks!

An EASY way? No. I just did the same thing last year. It was not easy. Nothing about the entire process was easy. Least of all cutting a great big hole in a perfectly functional wing.

On my -4, it was helpful to do some work through the holes in the wingtip with the tip removed. As for the lens, I made a grab handle with masking tape to hold the lenses into position.
