Anyone have first hand experience with the internal magnetometer in the AV-30? Does is work well being buried in the panel?

Got mine updated

I got mine updated and it works good now. Checked it with runway heading then went to a compass rose and it is dead on.

AV-30 magnetometer update

Mine works well since being updated with the magnetometer.

Installed mine a few weeks ago. It is on the left side of the panel and it seems to work perfectly. Installation was about as easy as it gets. I installed mine with power, ground and a serial connection to the gps and then pitot and static.
