Fastback Canopy frame?

Getting ready to mount the bubble on the fiberglass canopy frame. Any of you FB'ers out there remember how you held the frame tight to the fuselage when you glassed in the smaller side bulkheads? I want it to fit the fuselage tightly first and foremost and then trim the side bulkheads to hold it there. It's just an awkward place to get a tight grip on things.

Clay,

I used straps around the airframe and over the bulkheads. Just snug but not tight. I also reinforced the center bulkhead with carbon fiber based on others saying that the center bulkhead can flex when opening and closing, especially when it’s hot.

A call to showplanes is also a good idea since they may have a better technique.

Yes, in the end, we strapped the forward and aft portion of the canopy cradle. We also had some aluminum "Mach 1" tape, and that seems to have done a good job holding down the cradle in the middle. Onward and upward.
