What did you do with your RV this weekend (11/13/21 - 11/14/21))

Got in a post maintenance test flight.

Made more peel ply scrap, followed by loops, and rolls, then some careful patrol of the territory.

Took up another RV builder (RV-14) and let him experience the RV-9A. Weather in SoCal was perfect after being windy all week with the Santa Ana's.

Flight from KWHP to 0Q5.

Beautiful weather in California Sat…flew RV up to Nor Cal , (Shelter Cove Airport), about 150 mi south of Oregon border, right on the coast.
(450 mi each way) Beautiful scenic route: KWHP- Gorman- Paso Robles- Monterey- Half Moon Bay- SAN Francisco - Little River, ( fuel)- Shelter cove.
Met up with about 7 other RVators . Had a great lunch and back home around 4:30pm.Flight time: 6 hours of joy!

North GA group had a fly in at KCZL.
I went, took two non flying friends with me. Had 3-4 RV-10s, an RV8 and a 12.
Snacks and drinks by Brandi and Brian.
Was great, everyone had fun.

Shimmed up my engine which had sagged about 1/4" over time. I can't wait to see how much faster it goes! :D

I am so jealous! I am just a couple RV hours from all the fun :D

RVs fly midweek too

The last time I saw Gary’s 6 it was being trailered away from KPXE on its way home to NC25. He had a small incident in September of 2020

Seeing Gary’s post above, required Butch & I to make the flite up to NC25 to see the reconstruction. Yep, looks like it flies again.

Convenient parking in front of his hangar so we could go to a local diner for lunch.

Flite home was against a 30 kt headwind.
