ND alternator wiring

Trying to install the alternator and hook up the wiring and am having some problem finding instruction on hooking up the “field” wire (alternator on/off) to the correct terminal. There are no markings on the alternator other than it’s a ND and the side “B” lug, the other connector has one horizontal over top and two vertical on the sides, not marked. Round plug, not marked, tried to do a picture but....

all of the ND alternators that I have seen with the three male spade terminals (older, non-round connector style) have letters embossed in the case. (N or I)/F/E. You sure they are not there. F is field and E is ground. The other is not used.
