Canopy Frame Fitting

I'm not entirely happy with how my canopy frame slides. I've measured and fit the canopy side rails (C-803) to the cockpit rail (F-816). For the rear 25% of the canopy side rails (C-803) where they sit on top of the longeron they twist inward slightly following the twist of the longeron. This causes the canopy to bind slightly for the last 25% as you slide it back. The rest of the way the canopy slides smoothly. I've checked and double checked the measurements and everything is parallel.

Has anyone else had this problem? I thought about making wedges or shims to shim the last two holes through the canopy side rails and the longeron so they don't take on the twist. Any other suggestions or just live with it? It's not terrible, just noticeable.

I would shim the ends so the rail doesn't twist, but mine is a 7. No twist.
