Installing safe-air P5000 oil drain

I’m going to be changing the oil in my O-320E2D

I decided to replace the oil drain plug with a Safe-Air P5000 quick drain. It is an NPT thread.

When I look at the lycoming ssp-1776-5 doc it indicates 160-176 in/lbs of torque. I think. Does that seem correct?

Also should I use some type Loctite sealant with this ? Or do I only use an anti seize compound?

Thanks

That valve comes with anti seize.. I don’t use it, but instead use locktite 567 threads sealant. Works great. As for the torque, safe air may use a lower torque, so that you don’t crush the housing.. I don’t recall. I’m sure a box and wrench and a calibrated elbow are ok here. Then you saftey wire it.
