Baggage door RV10

Can one make the baggage door bigger in RV10?

Legally yes. Realistically, no. The fuse structure in that location does not lend itself to easy modification. Vertically you have a longeron above the opening and above that you encroach onto the fiberglass cabin top. Horizontally there's bulkheads on either side of the door opening.

Remove the aft seats and tip the front seat backs forward and the main doors become nice cargo doors.

That's how we load anything that won't fit through the baggage door, although we don't always remove the rear seats. For our folding ebikes, we bought a couple of bike bags off Amazon. Helps getting the bikes in and out plane for sure.

The only two faults that I can say I think the RV 10 has is it could have used a larger baggage door and that darn cross brace for the cabin structure support and for the rear seat back rest. But it easy to work around it. As Todd mentioned, it’s easy enough to load through the main doors and with the front seat pushed forward there is lots of room to load. We just did a trip with two folding Montague mountain bikes and all our camp gear. The 10 is like a Cessna 182, if you can load it, it will haul it.
