Fuel and brake line routing

Would appreciate pics of how you routed both sets of lines.

Up the middle seems logical but the plans seem to call for up the insides of the fuselage….

Here's a few pics, installed more like RV-7A than RV-6A. Boost pump is on the firewall instead of the side of the fuselage. The fuel selector is temporarily removed and there is a parking brake. The external brake lines will run aft inside the wing roots and down the front of the gear legs to the wheels.

I'm at the same part of my build. (S/N 22,740).
The pictures are helpful.

Tunnel

My 7A has the boost pump in the tunnel. Fuel line goes straight forward to the firewall fitting.
Beringer brake lines are one piece from the parking brake into the tunnel, outboard then down to the calipers. Pathway is per Vans but no connections.

Brake fitting out of fuselage

From what we've seen, most later RV6s use the RV7 plumbing diagram.

Tom

Tom,
My -6A plans call for the outlet to the wheels to exit the fuselage on the side.
I thought it would be better to exit the bottom and be covered by the wheel faring.
Am I the only one that thinks is is a bit better?

Dave

Dave----The 7As exit under the fuselage under the gear leg mount. The bulkhead fitting and the hose/tube connection is hidden under the upper gear leg fairing. I kinda like it.

Here are a few pics. Most of these are from my log and show partial details as work was in progress. I don't have a final pic which shows all of the lines installed in the tunnel.

Mine exit through the gear leg bottom plate

FP13062021A0000K.jpg

I ran them from the firewall parking brake down to near the floor, then to each side, then under the lower longeron with several 1" long clear tubing sleeves, slit, wrapped, then secured as vibration cushioning.
