Show me your whistle tube / crankcase venting

Curious to see how guys are doing the overboard crank vent? My plan is to run a hose down to the exhaust, with the last foot or so being aluminum tubing. Where should I cut the "slot" in case the tube freezes? Inside the cowl? Front or back? Side?

Mostly stock. I used a piece of MIL-SPEC 6000D oil resistant hose from the engine.

Hose clamped to the down tube. I did add a second cushion clamp on the aluminum tube to make it more secure than having just one adel clamp.

Whistle slot and end of tube drains on to exhaust pipe.

No issues in over 1000 hours.
