Trutrak ADI disturbed by com TX

Hello,
All was working fine until a few weeks.
I have a Trutrak ADI Pilot II.
Now when I com transmit , I have a light disturbance of only the ALT function.
No disturbance of the roll function.
No com transmission, AP works fine.

Any idea about what to check ?
Thanks in advance,
Michel

I had the same issue a number of years ago and found this on a Trutrack forum:

I am happy to report that the RF problem I was having with the Trutrak autopilot has been solved. One of the posted suggestions pointed to a filter adapter that is installed between the controller and the harness. I ordered part number FCE17-B25AD-250 from Digikey (http://parts.digikey.com/1/parts/1599616-filter-male-female-adpt-25pos-fce17-b25ad-250.html) for about $25 and it cured my system.

I got the same part and it worked for me too!

I have since upgraded to a Gemini, which doesn’t have that issue…

Look for PTT wire routed along side Alt AP servo wires........
Seems when you key the mic it lets pulses transfer to the AP servo wire..
Help me!

RF Noise

When I had this setup it had the same issue, and it’s a noise problem. There is a small RF filter that can be installed inline between the connector on the back of the ADI and the mating connector on the harness that will cure the problem.

On mine, when you keyed the mike the autopilot would do a sharp pitch up every time. Not good. The filter fixed it.
