Control tube / FWD rod end attachment

The AN3-10 bolt attaching the forward rod end bearing to the control tube will contact the spar box before fully seating, if the bolt is inserted with the head forward. The close proximity of the rod end to the spar box also means that the bolt cannot be inserted with the head aft, unless the rod end itself is removed and installed onto the control tube prior to the tube itself being installed. An alternative would be to drill a clearance hole in the spar web just large enough to accommodate the threaded end of the -3 bolt if the bolt head is to be installed fwd. Curious to know how others have handled this.
 
Can you post a picture of what you are talking about? What is the part number with the rodend?
