My RV-4 has a tendency to run too cool on the oil temp, especially durning the cooler months. I've played around with blocking off the cooler which worker OK but kinda of like Goldie Locks there was always the days when it was a little too hot or a little too cold. So I finally broke down and ordered a oil cooler shutter from Anti-Splat. I've got to say it was the best $100 bucks or so I've spent on the airplane (the best $1000 bucks or so was the Vetterman exhaust). The shutter is a quality built unit and installed quick and easy. Quick shipment and they even gave me a discount on my postage after I messed up my initial order.
