Bought NOS fine wire REM 38P and 38W plugs

I recently bought a box of new, still sealed in the plastic, REM 38W and REM 38P fine wire plugs. Probably 20 years old.
Champions website merely says they were replaced by the "S" model. Good luck with trying to talk to someone there.

Any problems with using them on my 10? IO-540D4A5.
Thanks.

We had lots of fouling and marginal mag checks on a 182’s 0-470. Resistance of the older vintage Champions ranged from normal to 80K ohms. Only 6 of 12 were in normal range.
12 new plugs later and it runs like a new engine.
The bad plugs were massives. I believe the issue was worse in the fine wires of that vintage.
Look at the inside of the insulation where the wire spring makes contact: if there is a slot (like for a slotted screw driver) then toss them.
