I've been working on installing my spinner for several weeks now. It has been surprisingly labor intensive, and challenging for some parts, like how to match drill the forward bulkhead when you can't see through the spinner gelcoat (use neodymium ball magnets!). Now I'm at the step where I need to install the nut plates to the rear spinner bulkhead, but I can't think of a good way to locate the nutplate rivet holes. As an experiment, I tried using a nutplate as a drill guide on the outside of the flange, but due to the curvature that put the holes in the wrong place. I don't see how it is possible to drill from inside the aft bulkhead flange unless you completely remove the prop from the engine, and remove the aft bulkhead from the prop. How have you guys done this?
