Another Canopy Fitting Question

I just started fitting my tip-up canopy and was wondering f anyone has successfully fitted the canopy with the aft top skin riveted up except for the ears along the fuselage? I'll admit that I got a little ahead of myself and riveted the aft top skin before realizing the canopy fit process has the skin only clecoed. So, before I go thru the painful drilling out of a 100 or so rivets, I would like to hear what others have to share or suggest.

Thanks,

I think you'd be fine, once you have the rough shape of the rear window it should be pretty easy to slide it in and make any adjustments. The rear window is the easiest part of the canopy.
