Ordering the Andair

I?m getting ready to write the check for the Andair Fuel Valve.

Ordering from the Andair website, you can customize the valve and that makes the selection process a little more complex.

Q1: Are most people using the ?? NPT (FEMALE) fittings on all 3 connections of the FS20x7?
This creates a part number of FS20f7F.

Also regarding the extension, it's not as simple as ordering a 6" or 12" extension.
Q2: Does anyone know if we need to order the "coupler joint"?
There is a checkbox for it, but no description of it's purpose.

Thanks,
Phil

1:NO. You want an AN (AN-6,JIC-6) Elbow fitting pointing down. What's the point of ordering a NPT female fitting and then having to put an AN822 Elbow in it to get a male AN6 output fitting? That is what you will be connecting the fuel lines to. What you want is an FS20x7T --male AN Elbow fittings on the sides, male AN fitting on the bottom.

2: Don't think so and would only be needed if you position the valve lower in the tunnel to allow the heat duct to pass easier.

Here are the selections from the Andair website:

That's cool. I didn't realize you could reposition the male fittings to make them point down. I was thinking they were just oriented like horizontally instead of vertically...

This is getting more and more clear as time goes on. It's a shame none of this is documented very well.

Thanks,
Phil

Andair fuel selector facia countersunk screw holes

Phil,

Another minor option Andair will do for you on request is countersink the screw holes in the fuel selector facia plate. The default setup would mean you having raised head screws that could take the skin off your knuckles.

You could of course countersink it yourself but probably less risk to have them do the countersinking at the factory.

Andair extension

Using the Andair FS2020 duplex fuel valve and need an extension. It appears need to use the type 2 or part number EXK-2. Is this what everyone ordered along with the correct length tube? There are multiple types available. (To be cut to exact length) Thanks!

Banjo fittings are an available option to replace elbow fittings. If you need a custom valve and don't mind the wait (2-3 mos.) ordering from the Andair website can save a few bucks due to the exchange rate.

For our RV10 duplex installs (for SDS and EFii injections), we use 4 EF20 elbows on the wing side and 2 MF20 straights on the pump side.
