Accessory case oil pickup to the oil cooler IO-540-D4A5

Hi I’ve got a Lycoming aeio-540-d4a5 engine that I removed the inverted oil system from including the plug in the sump and reinstalled a standard sump screen and cap. Plumbed the line going to the oil cooler from item #16 in the diagram below and the oil from the oil cooler to item #20. Should oil to the oil cooler be plumbed to item#18 instead?

You mentioned removing "the plug in the sump". I assume you mean the mushroom shaped plug which was in the bottom of the oil screen recess. If not, go back and get it out.

Thanks Dan for the response…yes the mushroom shaped plug was removed from the bottom oil screen recess.
