Don’t forget that 6 wings are match drilled to the fuselage centre section bulkhead and spar splice plates, so to the best of my knowledge, not a swappable component.

Definitely early RV-6 wings are not swappable.

However, later ones may be. Later Phlostogen sets were match drilled to a template. My kit's splice plates were missing (some prior owner lost them... there was an estate sale involved). Phlostogen confirmed that my spars were match drilled and were able to make me a new set that fit.

As I recall they engraved a number onto the spar end, and if the number was above some value then they had been made on the jig.

How long would it take to build up a new spar into a new wing? A month, 160hrs? Is it not possible to build a new wing to fit an old rv6?

I have a set of early 6 wings with the center section and flaps - no ailerons.
