Fuel selector

Two questions: (1) looks like it would be better to run a hose from the fuel tank to the selector valve rather than bend aluminum tubing. If so, who do you recommend for the hose supplier? (2) A RV-10 builder/pilot suggested replacing Van's selector valve with an ANDAIR valve. If so, which one?

Fuel Valve

I've tinkered with a couple of different versions of the ANDAIR valve; generally speaking the ANDAIR valve is silky smooth, positive position selection and lockout.

I ended up using the TYPE 7 valve for my builds. I spec'd it with elbow male (AN6) fittings for the inlets and a male fitting (AN6) for the outlet. This configuration worked best in the exceptionally small area that Van's chose for the selector and FI Boost Pump.

I did NOT choose banjo fittings because of the size and pressure loss that occurs when the fitting is clocked a little off from the holes.

Cheers!
