Wireless Phone Charger?

Has anyone attempted to install a wireless phone charger in the cockpit? If I'm going to carry my phone as a source for phone calls and music, I may as well keep it charged. I could probably put a narrow slot to hold the phone and bury a charger in it.
But, with all the delicate sensor wires, GPS, Bluetooth, etc., what impact would a wireless phone charger have?

Not an expert but I always though wireless charging was magnetic induction. might mess up your compass. maybe try a portable one first.

What problem are you trying to fix? You’re asking for unknown issues and slower charging speed. Put a proven USB port in and stow the cable. Quoting/paraphrasing someone else from here; “Build what you want but know why you want it.”

There are a number of ways to do it. I 3D Printed a mount for my phone that screws to a standard 3-1/8" instrument hole, and incorporates a wireless charger. The USB cable goes to a cigarette-lighter-style charger mounted behind the panel.

The 3D Printed case took a few iterations to get the fit right for this particular phone and case combination... I didn't want to remove the phone from the case every time I wanted to go fly.
