Tariff

Heads up
I don't know which vendors will be adding it but I just got about 10% hit on my DigiKey order.
Tariff on items classified as made in China
Basically killed any savings.
Probably should ask before placing any orders for imported goods.

I went through previous orders. This is the first time I bought items with China as Country of Origin. The Tariff probably existed and I just hadn't encountered it. The items were Amphenol antenna connectors. BNC and TNC.

I encountered that several years ago. Made me switch to Mouser.

Though Digikey will ship for free if you mail in a paper order and pay by check. Mouser shipping is very high.

Downside is it takes a little longer.

Just got hit with a pretty stiff tariff on my last order.
Next order I will be careful. Bad part is I could have gotten by without it. I tried to cancel but they fill orders so fast it was already processed.

Me too. Didn't realize it was that high, but $1.47 on a $14.64 order.
Now I feel stupid.
