aviation spark plug shelf life?

An aviation spark plug, still in it's sealed package, I would assume has a basically infinite shelf-life?

I can't imagine how it could go bad. UNLESS it was dropped which you can't see.

Corrosion or being dropped. Who knows how old my NOS plugs are.

I have used plugs that were verifiably 40+ years old. No problems with them because they were stored well... not dropped, not rusted.

I just installed a spark plug from 1982 in my 3 wheeler. As others have said - you can’t drop them or leave them in humid environments but otherwise they are virtually eternal.
