Safety wire for tank bolts

Has anyone considered safety wiring their tank bolts? It’s not in the plans but the security of these bolts seems pretty important.

I used a beam wrench for proper torque and used torque safety seal to inspect for movement per the usual but just curious how others handled this.

I trust the engineers at Van's Aircraft.

The platenuts already have a locking feature. The access to the hardware is poor and safety wire would be more trouble than it is worth.

The RV-4 and RV-6(A) do not have any of that hardware and have been flying longer and more hours than the fleet of RV-7(A) and RV-8(A).

You DEFINATELY do not want to do that.

After the skin goes on, it would make it REALLY hard to remove a tank, should you need to later.

Agreed. It's already difficult for access once the tanks are on the wing, and the locknuts prevent rotation anyway. Not needed.
