Oil Cooler Hose Replacement

Is oil cooler lines part of the engine or part of the airframe? I am not sure which log the replacement of the hoses should be logged in.

If you decided to put in a new engine, and sell the old one, you would likely keep[ (or throw away and replace) the oil cooler hoses - they wouldn’t necessarily go with the engine. So…..I’d put the replacement in the airframe log.

That’s the kind of test I use to decide where to log things.

(And there is probably no hard and fast, absolute answer…..)
