Flap Torque Tubes

How much friction has everyone having on the black inboard/outboard flap bushings when the flap torque tubes installed? Mine aren’t exactly smooth and free and have a descent amount of friction. I’m concerned about having to much load on the actuator.

You can clean them up with a spade bit. My flaps are manual and have no drag from the blocks.

Mine have a bit more friction than I thought they would. However, they have less than the brake pedal blocks did.

In both cases, I went another direction than the posters above. I polished the torque tubs in both instances and used #5 wheel grease as per the manual. My brake pedals now work very freely and the flap torque rods move much more smoothly...but still have some friction.

30 minute job on the flaps.
