Leveling flap

What was everyone's method on leveling the flap for the bottom skin? Did you use a digital level like suggested by Vans? How did you secure the flap in the cradle after leveling it?

Also the instructions never call for breaking the trailing edge of flap skins. Should I do this or not? The plans also never tell you to rivet the trailing edge. Are you letting the proseal cure fully or just for a day or two before riveting the TE.

Thanks as always.

Reviving this to see what folks have done.

I used a digital level from harbor freight. $55

My cradles were pretty snug so once adjusted the flap stayed put.

I had them clamped to my workbench.

I also made sure my build table was straight when I made it. Used 3/4 inch furniture grade wood with very straight hand picked 4x4s and 2x4s

Re checked straightness as I worked. If it moved on me I would try to take some clecos out and twist the assembly straight.

You should break the trailing edges IMHO, same as the ailerons. I "followed the plans" and did not break the edges but wish I had, if only for consistency.
