Alternator replacement RV-4

I was getting a significant amount of noise over my radio and intercoms when the alternator was engaged.

I pulled it out and immediately found a loose diode. So I’m going to replace the alternator. But I’m not 100% sure if it’s internally or externally regulated. I believe external but I could not find the regulator. The only place I haven’t yet looked is under the floor panel.

The RV was registered in 1989 but I did not build and items could have been replaced over the past 30 years.

There are wires attached to the F and E terminals in addition to the B+ post.

Is there a way to know for sure if the alternator I am pulling out is internally or externally regulated? Picture below.
