Wing fairing attachment repair

A friend of mine has a stripped fastener at the wing fairing. The screw that is located right where the fairing jogs outboard. He is not the builder and has asked me to help / complete a repair. Before I headed off on a 400 mile journey to his house I would like to get an idea of this anchor nut replacement. I have been told that access is limited.

It would be helpful if someone could post a picture of this area from the RV-8 plans or an photo from their aircraft without the fairing installed. I see my options as replacing the anchor nut or remove it and install a rivnut. The former is preferable but without knowing what the access is like it is hard to develop a plan.

Thank you for your help.

You could always pop yours off your -7 and take a look, I believe they are very similar.. is it perhaps the spot where the two pieces connect at the joggle? That you’ll be real easy, as you could make the repair on the bench..
