Got my freshly overhauled Aerosport engine running today but now concerned about the heat muff. I had a new exhaust made by Vetterman that uses the right forward baffle for air intake and the #1 exhaust for the muff instead of the older style exhaust that used a heat muff on the aft crossover tube. The design I chose has the 2” intake scat connection on the lower section of the front of the heat muff and I can’t get the lower cowl on due to interference. What design of heat muff is best to use in the RV-8 that clears the lower cowling?
