Fuel Filter

backcountry

Well Known Member
Has anyone added a fuel filter to the 912 ULS engine compartment. It takes very little debris to cause serious problems and the carburetor. It needs clean fuel to be safe.

I thought about it, to be honest. But after my first annual in November, replacing the gascolator-screen (ssooooooooo dense!!) and finding no-thing in the bowl (80 hours), and knowing that I only add fuel by jerrycan of a known pump I set the idea aside.
For what's it worth.

You can by taking the discharge or supply hose, figuring where you want the filter and removing that length section from the hose. Have to know with know of filter and ends on it and what kind of hoses you have.
But yes, its fairly simple.
