Cool!

A blower and wrinkle wall slicks. If it could shed 1500 pounds and grow wings you'd really have something there!:D

We weighed the vise at 94 lbs. This was noticeably reducing our quarter mile times. Sacrifices need to be made.

Paul, was that a little southern accent I detected: "Thang"? You've been there too long.

Secrets.....

Too bad I did not get a shot of the front. We just added a Jam Sames Cowl to reduce cooling drag.

We have a bunch of NASA jibberish that backs up the science of VERY subsonic airflow and heat transfer over a non-firing inline 4. The flat (and I do mean FLAT) plate area of this thing is Gi-normous!!

Addtional Specs:

- Side by Side seating
- Better visibility than tip-up, better ventilation than a slider
- Dual EI (English Ignition - does not fire at all)
- Runs LOP with a carb (Lots of Petrol)
- seats glued with sika(and duct tape)
- HID headlamps
- LED Tail lamps
- No primer, just lots of sacrificial steel
- Dual Nose wheels - and dual tailwheels
- Empty weight ~4000 lbs
- Constant speed - very, very slow
- Chelton with HOTS (Hiway on the Taxiway System)
- Garmin 630 Tug radio with WAAS (Wide Area Amplified Speaker)
- APRS (Automatic Performance Reduction System) - always engaged
- Meets cruise speed requirements for light sport, but stalls much too easily

Notice the race number and what's written under it...Rare Bear.

Those guys and gals have way too much fun.

Pete, are you sure your last name isn't McHowell? You have a way with humor that would make an Irishman proud. :) Thanks for the laughs. I needed that.

BTW, congrats on your other entry "Sunset Chaser" (iirc) on AVweb's POTW page.

ps: You call THAT a tug? THIS is a TUG!

Joel,

Thanks for the compliments - I married into an Irish family, all laughs until the tempers kick in! Thank god it's more laughs than tempers......
